Background
Section titled “Background”Prior to takeoff, the navigation system performs checks to ensure the vehicle’s position and orientation are consistent with the provided mission and dock survey. This prevents paralands due to an incorrect mission arriving at a vehicle, or if a dock has moved significantly while the Zip was docked at it, etc. These checks are only valid when the vehicle is fully latched and retracted on the dock, and so the navigation system must monitor the dock status.
This is a launch-blocking alarm. It is set when the information received from the dock is insufficient to allow the navigation system to confirm launch is safe. This includes the inability to identify the latch state, or the inability to identify the dock in which the aircraft is present.
